About 17 Bangas: 17Bangas consists of two brothers Cardo Lotto and Wildboy Booka. Together as a rap group they bring energy, love, and respect for music to their craft. 17B for short, came from the exit "17B" off of 495 interstate you take to get to their hometown Landover, Maryland. Cardo Lotto adds the urban, accent, flow and Wildboy Booka brings an unorthodox style and high energy which makes 17Bangas quite the experience. The best way to describe their sound is underground inspired with a commercial polish. Being heavily influenced by the early 90's rap, hip hop underground music scene. Their songs include upbeat hooks (concepts) with southern bass and street relatable lyrics.
17B established in 2006,started out performing at local talent shows in the DMV area. After continuously winning show after show they began professionally recording songs. By 2008, the group had already released 2 mixtapes independently, and hand distributed over 5000 copies within 3 years. In 2009, the group released a single “We In Da Go-Go” produced by DC’s well known go-go music producer Roger Beat. They’ve received a considerate amount of radio play on 93.9 WKYS, and WPGC 95.5 having spins on songs such as “And U Know Dis Man”, “Nick Name”, and their go-go song “We In Da Go-Go” which has been playing repeatedly on both stations since 2009.
The have performed at shows with DC’s top local acts such as Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame honoree Chuck Brown, Backyard Band, and Tabi Bonney. Recently severing ties with management and losing a group member leaving Cardo Lotto, and Wildboy Booka to continue toward their goals. Now they are jumping back on the scene stronger than ever with the same mission but as a new movement "Swish Score Ent". With a new look, new music, and now Independent they are ready to take over the game.
