About DJ Hi Def: Dj Hi Def (Real Name Salim Shamar Washington) has proven himself to be one of the most determined innovators of the new generation. Not bound by the musical constraints of his predecessors, Hi Def is known for his imaginative technique and trendsetting style, blending old school vides, with new school flow. Born July 11, 1987 in Brooklyn NYC, Salim was exposed to some of the most groundbreaking styles of the 90's, with influences like DJ Jazzy Def, Kid Capri, and Hip Hop Legend Kool Dj Red Alert. These pioneers pave the way, Dj Hi Def made it his personal goal to not only meet the requirements, but to exceed them.

Spinning everything from Electro House to Dubstep to Hip Hop, Hi Def has performed in some of the most intriguing countries around the world. Gaining his international status in 2007, Dj Hi Def has drawn crowds in cities like Okinawa Japan, Pataya Thailand and has even done moral events for forces deployed in Afghanistan. Playing 100+ gigs per year, Hi Def is a touring maniac. Constantly trying to push the envelope to make his fans sweat on the dance floor. Hi Def’s live DJ shows are legendary and always include massive amounts of originals, remixes and re-rubs that are exclusive to his sets.
