The Future of Metro in the DMV

Thirty years after service first began on the Washington Metrorail, the system has become an integral part of the DMV's transportation network. Metro ridership has increased over the years as the system has expanded and the region has developed. Continued growth in ridership requires expansion of stations to handle the increased demand.

This map shows the current metro map and some additional lines that are possibilities. If Metro implements this expanded design, it will make the DMV one of the easiest to travel area in the country. It will take traffic off of the roads and make many more areas in the DMV easily accessible to the masses. This map is a possibility, share this link with your friends and congressmen to turn this map into reality.
