About Tylah Wooh: Thurston “Tylah Wooh” Yerby (July 12, 1989) was born on the south side of Washington DC, but later moved to Forestville, Maryland, due his parents concluding it would be wiser to raise a child there and they would escape the dangers and recklessness of the inner city. Little did they know that Forestville itself was becoming a haven for drugs, crime and violence. As a child Tylah was teased because of his real name, causing him to be increasingly more violent towards others and disrespectful to figures of authority . It was here that Tylah picked up his knowledge of the streets and by age 12 he was rapping hardcore rhymes and listening to the likes of The Diplomats, Jay Z and Beanie Siegel. Tylah only considered rapping a hobby as he dwelled deeper into the street life, eventually selling drugs in school. After barely graduating high school, Tylah and a group of high school friends created, The Dynasty modeled after the Roc-A-Fella record label. Tylah, under the rap name Santana Gunz, flourished as he began to put his music onto MySpace and get rave reviews. In 2010, Tylah created the rap name “Tylah Wooh”, which simply started off as Ty, his first and last initials. “I was going by Ty and females would call me Tyler ‘cuz they ain’t know my real name, so I would just let ‘em call me that. So when it came time to choose a new rap name to go by I thought of Tyler but I figured Tyler was too bland so I wanted it too sound somewhat the same so I chose Tylah.....And the Wooh part was given to me by a friend”. In 2012 Tylah put the beef of the streets behind him and focused fully on his music, garnishing his first full mix tape to date “Maryland Bamma” on May 11, 2013. Debuting his unique style of street rap mixed with thought provoking songs and surprising lyrical-ness. Tylah’s popularity increased almost instantly due to popularity from the Go-go scene and his notorious rep as a hot head. As a new artist Tylah is currently looking for a recording home and working on his second mixtape “For The Love Of Money”. In the meantime to gain more popularity Tylah is dropping freestyles to mainstream songs on his Youtube channel.
