AboutNiko Khale: The definition of greatness is defined as the quality of being great, distinguished, or eminent and is commonly associated with a 19yr old D.C. native that has all but taken the world of entertainment by storm and holds the crown for best new artist tightly within his grasps.
Much like his fellow D.C. native Wale, Niko Khalé possesses an innate talent that can best described as young, fly and intellectual, with the right amount of super coolness. Unlike many artists that seem to pop up by day and disappear by night, Niko Khalé is quite the opposite, as the young hip-hop recording artist/songwriter has a lyrical prowess that is undeniable and is arguably the quintessential example of superstar quality at its best.
During the launch of his career under the alias ACE PRIMO, Niko began releasing freestyles and remixes via his Myspace page and would eventually garner the attention of fans worldwide, along with some of the industry’s most successful and well-noted music executives. Niko’s ability to delivery lyrical bars that carried their weight in gold, coupled by his phenomenal stage presence and modelesque looks captured the attention of super producer Rodney ”Darkchild” Jerkins, and Niko would have the pleasure of working under Darkchild’s expert tutelage for a few years to develop and refine his talents as well rounded artist/song-writer who carried a universal mass appeal.
Fast-forward to 2015, Niko Khalé has scored national ad campaigns, having Powerade and Hyundai commercial under his belt, over 2.5 million organic views on YouTube, nation wide tours, features on Nelly Furtado’s latest album, the Smurfs 2 soundtrack and countless notable mentions across blogs and major media outlets (WSHH, MTV RapFix, XXL Mag, The Source, etc.) all while remaining independent.
It’s clear that Niko along with his team (Foolie High) are up for the challenge of putting in the hard work and dedication required to build and sustain a long lasting career in the music and entertainment industry and the reward is a young superstar in the making, .
When asked what prompted the name change, Niko Khalé stated “I’m in a different place now. Where things like accomplishments and leaving a legacy behind matter to me. I want all my accomplishments and contributions to hip hop and society in general to be tied to my name. I will always be Primo in the streets but Niko Khalé is who I am…that’s my birth given. I want the world to know me for me not an alias”.
