About Bmagic: In a society where becoming a rapper is now one of our youths top career choices, not everyone is able to captivate an audience and keep their attention. Bmagic, a true lyricist has the ambition and dedication needed to use his words to emerge as one of the DMV's best emcees. Bmagic, born Brandon Jackson was born in Gaithersburg MD, currently residing in Laurel, MD, and spent most of his time growing up in Lanham, MD. At the age of fourteen he began to realize that he had the ability to create an image simply by using words that rhymed. Rhyming in cyphers in school, after school against his friends, and even when he was alone he quickly realized it was fun and exciting how words can come alive and have the power to influence or motivate someone. His biggest inspiration came from his mother who raised him and his two older sisters. His mother's strength and independence to provide for her family and hold them together during rough times was his motivation. Listening to Biggie Smalls, and being able to relate to his lyrics about his life and his struggle to get to the life he lived was a big influence as well. "Birthdays was the worst days, now we sip champagne when we thirst-ay" Being a trouble kid in school he got into several altercations and bounced from school to school. He convinced himself that he was going become a rapper and there wasn't anyone or anything that could stop him, so he eventually dropped out of school. But knowing that his mother wasn't happy with that decision and with the advice of the older crowd he always kept he realized there wasn't much to do without an education so he went back to school. A year later but with a lot of hard work and dedication he graduated high school in 2006. Not too long after graduating high school his mother passed away and instead of letting that break him it motivated him even more then before. He bought himself a home sound recording studio and sat there day in and day out until he mastered it. Working non-stop, he would take beats and put his lyrics over them, editing the songs himself. Working hard to improve his sound, his style, He gradually began recording and editing other local artist. With the support of his family and closest friends he released his first mixtape "Certified Stamped Vol 1". Bmagic has begun making his name heard performing at various shows, and open mic’s, always getting the crowd hype, yelling out "Team Certified"(The Click). For those who support his movement he is leaving a lasting impression with his flow, his content, his creativity, and his consistency to deliver a message.
