Sponsors view him as a DMV icon. Socialites and party-goers know Dre All Day as a top promoter and party host in the DC, Maryland and Virginia area. He is a true voice for the DMV, who, for years, has linked hip-hop artists with fans, industry insiders, and opportunities to perform with national celebrities in front of local crowds.
Dre All Day was born and raised in DC and made his start in the entertainment industry in 1995 when he booked and promoted his first showcase. That year, Dre created PT Entertainment, which was a subsidiary of PT Sportswear. He also began promoting cabarets, pool parties and cookouts (2010 will mark the 16th Annual It’s All Love Family Cookout, presented by Dre All Day). Dre was a major force for promotions of hip-hop parties and go-go’s as well. Since 2005, he has provided consistent venues for local artists to perform. In 2007, Dre All Day created Allday Entertainment, and carved a niche as a premier promoter, party host, marketing guru, and industry insider in the DMV.
Dre is well-known on the go-go and hip-hop scenes. He’s been a weekly host for DC parties featuring UCB, TCB, and Backyard Band. In addition, Dre created weekly open mic showcases, including the Almost Famous Open Mic and 12 Unplugged, to provide practice and performance opportunities for up and coming talent. He is the winner of two DMV Awards naming him “Street Grinder” of the year in 2007 and 2008. In 2009, he was included in Sidney Thomas’ historical novel, Diamonds in the Raw, which documents the DMV hip-hop movement. In January of 2010, Dre was the co-organizer of the 4th Annual Original DMV Music Awards, responsible for marketing and promotions and hosting the show. This red-carpet event was a major draw for the independent music community and local celebrities with approximately 1,300 attendees. Dre All Day’s portfolio includes over 700 hundred radio commercials for 93.9 WKYS FM, 95.5 WPGC FM and concert footage from shows with celebrity singers and rappers. Dre All Day has appeared in some of the DMV’s hottest videos. including Wale’s “Nike Boots,” 93.9 WKYS FM DJ Quick Silva’s “Where They Do That At,” Phil Ade’s “Please Don’t Go Hollywood,” Eezy Money’s “I’m from DC,” Garvey The Chosen One’s “Spin It Off,” and Ice Bloc’s “Ride Around.”
