Dre was born and raised in Washington, DC where he studied music and the arts at Duke Ellington School of Performing Arts. He's been singing since the age of five and started writing songs by the age of nine. He graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology with an AAS in Fashion Management and a BA in Communications from Marymount University and most recently Howard University with his Master’s in Social Work. He has worked with ASCAP award-winning songwriter, Joe Rich and indie producer DJ Boom of Listen Vision. Dre appeared on "American Idol: Season 4," in which he made it to the 3rd round at the DC auditions. He also appeared alongside Darren Harper in the groundbreaking skateboard DVD, "Get Familiar." He has collaborated with an array of DMV artists including X-Kalibur, King Kan, Konshens, and Tony Reddz to name a few. Some of his songs have been featured on WPGC 95.5 and WKYS 93.9 in Washington, DC and XM Satellite/Sirius Radio. He is also a co-producer on "Flood the Block Radio," which is a Top 5 online radio show streamed on RippedRadioNetwork.com. Dre has now transitioned into business owner and entrepreneur. He started Motivated Elevation Music Development and Publishing, LLC in early 2017. He will focus on songwriting, artist development, and brand imaging for other artists. With having an extensive background behind the scenes, Dre plans to inspire and lead artists by example that will provide a clear path for ultimate success.
