KedaSings.comAbout KedaSings: KedaSings, born Makeda Hill, is a young, talented, and vibrant R&B Sensation Recording Artist, Songwriter, and Performer from the DMV/Baltimore area. She's a member of ASCAP as a Songwriter and Publisher of her own music and is a Grammy Awards Voting Member within The Recording Academy. She's also experienced with playing the piano/keyboard. She released her first Album, March 11, 2011, titled "I'm Like That" and was the Writer, Co-Producer, Creative Director, and the Executive Producer for the album. That particular album TITLE ("I'm Like That") became part of the KedaSings brand, which she employs within her personal life, apparel, music, community projects, and life as an artist.
She released her 2nd album titled, "What the People Want", November 12, 2012. By popular demand of her fans, this album comprises of Pop, a little Hip-Hop, Reggae, and of course her first love -R&B. Her maturity level at a young age and gifted mind as a songwriter allow her to be an out-of-box artist, creating songs that the young and mature can relate. This new album proves just that! She has taken this album to new heights and one that shows off her unique sultry voice and gifted songwriting skills.
KedaSings is surely making her way and mark through the industry. She was featured in the renowned Essence Hair magazine for having one of the "Hot Now" street hair styles. Her songs have been played on Radio One's EzStreet Show, 92QJams B-more during the AJ & Angel Baby show, and WOLB DC 1415AM. Her songs are are in rotation on various top rated internet radio stations as Pandora and Spotify. Her songs has also been included on mix-tapes, in clubs, and on DJ mixes. KedaSings has performed nationally at varied venues within and outside of the DMV area at music festivals, concerts, special events, and on Cable television -sharing the stage with popular mainstream artists. She's earned the title of being one of DMV's Hottest Music Artists which has landed her interviews on Radio One, Internet Radio stations, Cable T.V., and being listed on DMVLife.com. She's also had recent opportunities of opening for Comedians Cedric The Entertainer and Mike Epps, music artists as Trina, and performing alongside Pretty Ricky, Olivia (Love & Hip Hop), and others. She was recently nominated as Baltimore's R&B artist of 2012 and was the youngest of all nominees and the only artist on the ballot with two original albums. KedaSings takes her talent seriously and does not limit herself as a music artist, as she feels an artist must be well rounded in the industry. She's a quadruple threat in the industry. She sings, writes, performs, and acts. Acting is also part of KedaSings professional repertoire which has provided her starring roles in plays, musicals, and supportive roles in film.
KedaSings is also a young business owner of a company named after her brand, KedaSings Like That Entertainment. She's also an active leader making positive impacts in communities! She has volunteered and partnered with various local organizations in making positive differences in the lives of youth and the community. She tutors and mentors youth, she has organized a large community event that raised money for the national organization Make-A-Wish, and she has recently launched an "I'm Too Like That for Bullying" national project where she conducts speaking engagements to advocate against bullying in elementary and middle schools.
KedaSings is an intellectual, musically creative, vocally talented, entertainer, gifted songwriter, an actress, and an active community servant/leader! She's soft-spoken and shy by nature, but confident and blossoms when performing and talking about her music. She's humbled at heart and acknowledges God in all that she does, expressing "I do all things through Him who strengthens me".
