About LadyJ: LadyJ Movement aka LadyJ grew up in Alexandria, Virginia. As a teen LadyJ started as a beat boxer with some close friends then was told to begin writing. LadyJ's real name is Juanita that is where the "J" came from when choosing her stage name. LadyJ always enjoyed poetry, script writing but making a song was challenging. LadyJ has released her album titled "Hardwork Pays Off" in 2017 along with earlier released mixtapes. She has written R&B songs for local DMV singers, ft. on artist songs as well. She hopes to write for Drake, Weeknd, BYB and a collaboration with every female artist, Kendrick Lamar, Wale, Logic, J.Cole and DJ Khaled in the future just to name a few artist/group. Lil Kim, 2pac, Scarface, Lauren Hill, Rage and three 6 mafia have inspired her music. She is often compared to southern rap artist, said to have her own style, image. As a proud owner of LadyJ Movement LLC. An Entertainment, Fashion Consulting business she has coordinated several fashion shows, consulted with local artists, designers, and models in the DMV area. She also volunteers at food banks and promotes black owned business. LadyJ's goal is to have a voice through her music, and to help rebuild communities and add to DMV being on the map!
