About Midas: Midas is a DMV-based producer who specializes in tailor-made, innovative beats. Born in Washington, DC to Haitian and Dominican parents, Midas was surrounded by music his entire life. Midas absorbed from every genre he was exposed to: Classical and Jazz in his school bands where he played the alto saxophone; Hip Hop, R&B, and Rock from his peers; and Island and Latin rhythms from home. The masterful weaving of these influences is Midas’ signature sound.

As a producer, Midas has claimed countless victories in beat battles from VA to NYC and beyond. Midas is the “go-to” producer for many DMV singers, songwriters, and hip hop artists. With a style all his own that demonstrates versatility, musicianship, and a finely tuned ear for the au courant, Midas seeks to redefine the artist-producer experience and stretch genre boundaries with his sound.
