About SonHe Hott: SonHe Hott was born on January 4th, in Montgomery County, Maryland. He moved to Virginia with his mother at the age of 2, and first picked up the mic at age 13. He founded his own independent record label at the age of 18 called Close Range Entertainment. Guest spots include collaborations with Jacquie Brown, Tony Foxx and Geolani Grandz among others. Sonhe turned down deals from some of the biggest record labels in the industry, including Murder Inc, Rap A Lot Records and Def Jam South to pursue an independent music career. “At that point in time it would not have allowed me to be myself with my music,” Sonhe said referring to the deals he was offered. He released his street album “Streets Keep Calling” and mentions his son Jahad as his motivation to make it to the top of the music industry. His “Certified Gwop Boys” movement continues to grow in the streets of the DMV.
