Nationals Win the World Series
One of baseball's most improbable championship runs ended Wednesday the only way it could — with an indestructible Washington Nationals team celebrating on the road after its World Series-clinching 6-2 victory over the Astros in Game 7!
It was Washington’s fourth win in Houston during the Fall Classic, making the Nats the first pro team to win 4 road games in any playoff series. And that only scratches the surface of just how remarkable their’ run was. At almost every stage of the season and playoffs, they had to grind against long odds. Few champions ever fought harder for their title than this club did.
