About Shu Shotta: Hailing from a neighborhood on the Westside of Alexandria, VA. dubbed the 5000, Shu’s city doesn’t have much musical representation. If not for Fat Trel affiliate, Young Moe, the region would have virtually no grounding in the hip-hop community. Shu says, "I’m trying to get that next boost."

In the 5000, a lot of the amateur emcees have a similar flow, making Shu’s wordplay and overall sound a standout. His songs tend to be fun and light-hearted -- perfect vibes for any turn up or party. "I talk about what I’m actually doing. I don’t talk about anything that’s fake or a lie," he says. "I like to get people moving. When my song comes on, I want people to bounce to it."
