About Wordsmith: From licensed singles for Puma Fragrances and Nintendo’s smash hit Mad World, a #14 single on the Indie music charts, a collaboration album with hip hop legend Chubb Rock, a follow-up debut album, and over 1 million downloads scanned from his last mix tape (a feat unprecedented except from a handful of signed artists), Wordsmith continues to add to his already lengthy resume of successes.

Considered one of the most scheduled emcees in the region and perhaps the most buzzed-about underground emcee on the Internet, in the past three years, Wordsmith has already toured extensively and shared the stage with such big name acts as Wu Tang Clan, Jim Jones, Digable Planets, Boot Camp Clik, Wale, Poor Righteous Teachers, Mike Jones, Nipsey Hussle, and Paul Wall. His intelligent lyrics, engaging stage performance, smooth delivery, and hypnotic vocal inflections recall a Golden Age of hip hop, causing magazines like Hip Hop Weekly to take note of his extraordinary talent, labeling Wordsmith as an “unsigned hype” who is the next to blow. Despite the irony of his unsigned status, Wordsmith’s music remains in constant rotation with venues such as MTV’s Mix Tape Mondays, XM Radio, and ABC, helping to build his reputation as an unsigned emcee who works like a signed one.

“Hook-Up Hotline,” the first single off the new album “Vintage Experience,” has enjoyed sustained radio play in more than a dozen select major urban markets throughout the United States and across seas and continues to chart, receiving positive feedback from both club and radio DJs alike. Music videos for “Hook-Up Hotline” and “Tour Guide to New Bride” have also been distributed in select markets, including Comcast Music Choice, VH1, MTV Base, and the California Music Channel.

Wordsmith continues to do press, interviews, and features for other artists, and is currently preparing his next mixtape with an even larger, more noteworthy cast of contributors.
